Duck on a Rock
Description
A classic target and tag game where players throw stones to knock off a “duck” while dodging a guard’s tag.

Instructions:
1. Place a large stone (the “duck”) on a raised surface like a stump, rock, or brick.
2. Choose one player to be the guard, who stands near the duck to protect it.
3. All other players stand behind a designated throwing line at a safe distance.
4. Players take turns throwing smaller stones to try to knock the duck off the platform.
5. When the duck is knocked off, all players rush to retrieve their own stones.
6. The guard must tag as many players as possible before they return to the throwing line.
7. Any player tagged before returning becomes the new guard in the next round.
8. Repeat the game with turns rotating and everyone getting a chance to guard.
Variations & tips:
1. Use soft balls or bean bags instead of stones for a safer version.
2. Set up a point system for successful hits and safe returns to make it competitive.
3.Give the guard a pool noodle or soft tag stick for extended reach.
4. Add challenges like hopping back instead of running to increase difficulty.
