Instructions:
1. Teacher gets a drum or a chime to get the attention of the students.
2. Teacher can also use rhythmic claps and snaps so as to get the attention of the students.
3. This is an easy way to grab the attention of the students.
Variations & tips:
1. Let students create and lead their own clap/snaps or drum patterns.
2. Start with loud claps and gradually make them softer, training students to tune in to quieter cues.
3. Create a sequence with claps or snaps and have students echo it. This = turns it into a fun listening game.
