Instructions:
Materials List: i. A sheet of paper with a bingo board on it for every participating student
ii. Pencils/markers
Instructions:
1. Create Bingo boards with different statements in each box. Here is an example from the internet: https://bingobaker.com/image/1893681/544/1/new-student-bingo.png
2. Give one of the boards to each student.
3. Instruct the students to walk around the class and find a different student to write his/her name in a Bingo box that applies to him/her. For example, if the statement in a box is "My name starts with an "A" and there is a girl names Anoushka in the class, then a student could find Anoushka to write her name in that box.
4. Students must find a different student for each box in the Bingo board.
5. The first student to get a signature in every box of his/her Bingo board wins the game.
Variations & tips:
1. Make the statements personalized to the student e.g. "Has a pet cat" or "Has 2 sisters" to make it more meaningful.
2. Add small pictures next to statements for younger students to better understand each category.
3. After the game, have students share interesting facts they learned about their classmates. This promotes team building.
