Instructions:
Materials List:
i. Small pieces of paper with vocabulary words written on them.
ii. Small pieces of paper with pictures of all of the words printed on them
iii. Tape
Instructions:
1. Tape a small piece of paper to each of the students' foreheads. Make sure that they do not see which word or image is taped to their forehead.
2. Instruct the students to walk around the room and ask one English question to all of the other students about what the picture or word on their forehead is. These should be yes or no questions (for example, "Am I an animal?"), and they should only ask one question to each person they speak to.
3. Once a student figures out what they are, s/he must try to find his or her match. Since each of the pictures corresponds to one of the words, the students must find each of their partners.
4. The game is over once all of the students have found their partners.
Variations & tips:
1. The label can be pinned to their back instead of forehead.
2. Try a non-verbal version where students can only use gestures. This builds on students non-verbal communication skills and adds challenge.
