Instructions:

1. Teacher says, “Jump like a frog!” or “Flap like a bird!”

2. Children act out the animal for 10 seconds.

3. Keep changing animals for variety.

Variations & tips:

1. It will be helpful to demonstrate the movements first for toddlers or younger children.

2. Use visual aids (e.g. animal flashcards) to support understanding.

3. Focus can narrow down to specific habitats (jungle, farm, ocean) or types (birds, reptiles, animals).

4. Incorporate Charades, where one child enacts and and others guess the animal.

5. The facilitator can say “freeze” and students must hold their animal pose until the next instruction.
