Instructions:
1. Instruct each student to think of two true statements about himself. and one lie about himself (for example, "I love to read, and dosas are my favourite food" could be the truths, and "I usually go to sleep at 8'clock" could be the lie).
2. Select a volunteer to stand at the front of the class and say their three statements in English. The statements do not have to go in a specific order. The goal of the volunteer is to trick the class into thinking that one of the true things is a lie.
3. Once the volunteer has said his/her three statements, instruct the rest of the students to vote by raising their hands on which statement is the lie.
4. If more than half of the class guesses the lie, then the volunteer loses. If more than half of the class guesses one of the truths is the lie, then the volunteer wins.
5. The game continues until every student who would like to present their three statements has presented.
Variations & tips:
1. Introduce a “celebrity round” where students make two truths and one lie about a famous person they like.
2.Add a “character role” twist, where students pretend to be someone else (a superhero, animal, or historical figure) and say two truths and a lie in character.
